The rules
Everything that binds a lineup, on one page. Every number below is read straight from the live game configuration, so what you read is exactly what the engine runs. The complete rulebook — pricing, caps, floors, settlement — is at How Scoring Works.
Lineup size
A valid lineup is seven eligible anime airing during the scoring week — no more, no fewer. A lineup that is short is not submitted.
Salary cap
You have $65,000 of pretend money to spend on those seven anime. Each anime has a price set by the market; the total of your seven prices may not exceed the cap. Price affects only what you can afford — it is never added to or subtracted from your score.
Lock
Lineups lock at Monday 12:00 PM ET. The draft window for a week opens the Tuesday before at 12:00 PM ET — a full six days — and you can edit your slate freely until the lock.
After the lock, lineups cannot be edited — the server rejects a late change, not just the page.
Cost
CourPlay is free to play. There is no entry fee, no purchase, no wagering, and no prize pool. Salaries and the cap are pretend money used to make drafting a real constraint — nothing on this site is bought or won with real currency.
Scoring
CourScore is one anime's score for one week. It measures weekly Audience, Fandom, and Rating changes. It is not the anime's lifetime popularity or overall rating.
CourScore = Audience + Fandom + Rating
Audience
+1 point per 500 new members gained during the scoring week
Fandom
+1 point per 50 new favorites gained during the week
Rating
The week's change in average score, +1 point per +1.0, hard-capped at ±3 points
Your lineup total is the seven CourScores added together. The highest finalized lineup total wins the week. Ties share a rank. If two lineups finish a week with the same total (compared to one decimal place), they take the same place, and the next rank is skipped — standard competition ranking (1, 2, 2, 4).
